Doctor's Appointment

We had our 31 week appointment today. Everything looks great. I gained 3 pounds, which is exactly what I was supposed to. Dr. Hodges was able to tell us how Riley is laying. I have been having "bulges" and wanted to know what I was feeling. Her head is up top (above my belly button), her spine is near my left ribs. Her legs go across my belly and are in perfect position to kick my right ribs. Which she has no problem doing!! Riley is moving a LOT these days. Although it is more moving around than kicking and punching, I guess that is because she is filling up more space. We head back to the doctors in 3 weeks.....more to come shortly!!

School Shower!!

Today at school some of my co-workers threw me a beautiful baby shower! It was a teacher work day so we were able to do it during lunch. It was a HUGE turn out and a wonderful time was had by all. The food and decorations were so nice!! Riley was hooked up with lots of great stuff and a LOT of cute clothes. We can't wait to have her in them all!! Thank you to everyone who came and for all the wonderful gifts!!!

Relaxing Weekend

Well Joe went for his annual snowboarding trip with some guys to Seven Springs. So I had a nice a relaxing weekend alone. Buster and I spent some quality time cleaning the house and decluttering. Nothing exciting is going on but I am getting bigger by the day. Joe said that after being gone for 3 days he thinks Riley has gotten bigger. We go to the doctor again on the 28th for our next check up. It is just a routine check. I never heard back from the doctors about the diabetes tests, so I will assume that it was all clear.

Nothing else to report.....we are just trucking along!! More to come later! Hopefully some pictures too....we will see how bloated I am feeling=)

Feeling it...

Well I have not heard anything yet about my diabetes tests. But I guess no-news is good news right?!?! I only have 78 more days to go, and I am feeling it!! I have been really tired lately and not sleeping well. I get up on average 4-5 times a night to go the bathroom. When I turn over in bed I wake up, and I FEEL pregnant. Some days are better. Yesterday I didn't "feel" pregnant, but today was a totally different story.

Riley is moving a lot and is running out of space in my belly. So her movements are different that I am used to. But she is moving none the less. I am still working out....although I should have gone today, but was too tired. I got home and could not move from the couch. But I have moved from the treadmill to the elliptical machine. It is easier on my legs and feet. I gave up the swimming-- my suit was not fitting so well and I was not feeling so "attractive" in the pool. I am not too sure how much longer I will continue to work out, but I will be doing it for as long as I can!! It gives me energy and I feel better about my new expanding body.

Anyways, I just thought I would update as to what I was doing and how I was feeling. Hope all is well with everyone!

7 Month appointment

Joe and I headed off to the doctors today for my 7 month check-up. It was a normal appointment, plus the diabetes test. I had to chug an orange sugar drink before heading out this morning. Then an hour later they took my blood and I will find out the results in a week or so. If I fail the test then I will have to go in for the 3 hour test!! Otherwise everything looks great. I only gained 4 pounds, so I guess all the working out that I have been doing has paid off!!

Besides this cold that I can't seem to beat, everything is going well. I am starting to get really tired again at the end of the day. I am also having trouble breathing after walking up stairs. But that is all normal at this point in the pregnancy. (At least that is what I read!) I will let you all know about the results of my diabetes test.

New Years

We spent last evening at a friends house. It was perfect, just come close friends, food, and watched the ball drop. We had a great time. Thank you Marylin for having us over!! Here is an updated picture of Joe and I toasting the New Years with Riley!! Happy New Years to all!!
