WOW!! We are 11 Months Old!!

Today is Riley's 11 month birthday....which is scary!! It is scary to think that in one month she will be a year old!! I don't know if we are ready to have a one year old!! She is growing so fast and going everywhere! Riley LLLOOOVVVEEESSS to climb in your lap and have you read to her. Her favorite books are Five Little Monkeys and Hand Hand Finger Thumb.

We went to her best friend Madeline's first birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese the other weekend. Riley seemed to enjoy it, but was a bit overwhelmed. She napped on the way over and woke up when we walked into the fun house!! There were a million kids running around and she was a bit caught off guard. Nonetheless she had a great time celebrating with Madeline and Chuck E.

This week we have had a "normal" week....which I don't know if we really know what normal is anymore!! But, we went to Lisa and Travis's for dinner on Tuesday night again and she enjoyed playing with the twins. That is always fun!!

I don't think anything new is going on with her. Her phobia of males seems to be getting a bit worse. GiGi says that when daddy's come to pick their kids up she freaks out....even though she sees them EVERYDAY!! She was also hanging out at our front door just standing and banging when a man walked by......it sent her into hysteria!! My sister said that it is actually a good thing that she is not TOO friendly!! I guess that is very true!!

We are really looking forward to the warmer weather. Nothing like taking an evening walk as a family!! We are truly blessed to have a wonderful little girl and we look forward to everyday with her and to so many more wonderful years to come!!

Mommy has class every other Wed. night and this is what happens while I am not here!!

Doors Galore!

Rileys enjoying her new talent of walking while holding one of our hands and taking a step on her own here and there, but her new passion is really just doors!! If the door moves, she will swing it!! She could sit in front of a door for hours just swinging it back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. She loves the front door because she can also look outside at the same time. I guess it is the little things that make her happy!! Riley also loves to have her teeth/gums brushed every night. She loves the taste of the tooth paste and the feel of the "brush" on her gums and teeth.....at least she will have good dental hygiene! Here are a few pictures and videos of her.

A Busy 2 Weeks

The last two weeks have been very busy!! On January 31st Joe and I dropped Riley off at my parents for 6 days while we went on our cruise. On Thursday my parents dropped her off at Joe's parents house for the remaining 4 days. Dropping her off was the hardest thing I have every had to do and lots of tears were shed. But we had a great time and Riley loved it too. She also forgave us when we got home. She went to a cocktail party with my parents and out to eat a few times with them too. She also went out to dinner and for some walks with Joe's parents. Overall, we all had a great time.

Last week was just a week for us all to get back on track and schedule. However, Friday night brought a bit of a virus to Riley. While eating dinner she spit up a bit, but we didn't think anything of it. Well around 1am we were awoken to Riley crying so I figured maybe she was hungry since she didn't have her full bottle for bed. So I made her a bottle and went into her room.....she had thrown up everywhere. So Joe and I cleaned it up and changed her. She went right back to sleep. Yesterday she was still a happy baby with spurts of fussiness. Then last evening as we were all sitting to eat dinner she vomited again. It was all over her and the highchair so she was taken straight to the tub (clothes and all!). After being cleaned up we changed her and she just went to bed.....until 1am again!! We were awoken to her crying again and we found her in vomit again.

As of now she is fussy and not a very happy little girl. I am hoping it is just a virus and will pass soon!!

However, on a positive note, she took her first "step" on Friday night!! She likes to walk while holding our hand now too!! But on Friday night she was standing and holding onto the table and I we were sitting a little bit behind her. She turned, let go of the table and stepped towards me!! It was so fun!! Then she fell to the ground and crawled the rest of the way!! But my parents stopped by yesterday and they say her do it again!!! She is growing up so fast!!
