Almost One!!

We are fast approaching Riley's one year birthday! The big day will be next Thursday, but the party is on Saturday the 28th. We are really excited and we are looking forward to watching Riley enjoy her first "sweet"!! We have been very good about not letting her have too much sugar or any sweets until her first birthday. I personally love sweets, so I would hate for her to become addicted like I have =)

We got a new camera the other day and have been snapping away!! I have not download the pictures yet, but when I do I will share them with all. Riley is also talking up a storm. Although it doesn't make sense it is still really cute!! We say, "Hi Puppy" and she will in return say it to...in her own words of course! We are also walking now. It is an unsteady walk, but none the less she will take about 10 steps before going down to safety. She does know though that it is safer to crawl, so she still prefer that mode of "transportation".

Riley's all time favorite thing to do is to read. She has a basket of books that she will go to before heading to her toy chest. She brings you a book, sits in your lap and giggles as you read. It is ssooo cute!!

This morning we met Aunt Kerry and Uncle Brian at church and had a great time. Kerry has been mentioning how much she really enjoys the Fairfax Community Church so we decided to join them. It was a great experience and we will defiantly head back there. There are some tough times ahead for the Bouch family and it really made us feel better about things. They have a wonderful nursery and Riley seemed to enjoy it. We dropped her off and she was given a sticker that had her name on it and a number (VN9). During the service if we were needed back in the nursery the number shows up on the screen. Luckily she was just fine.....infact....when we went to go get her she was sound asleep in Christine's arms! Christine was one of the volunteers there, she said that Riley played for a bit then whimpered for a few seconds, so she picked her up, sat in the rocker and Riley fell right asleep!! She slept in her arms for a little over an hour!!

After church we all went out to Panera for some lunch. Riley loved spending quality time with her Aunt Kerry and Uncle Brian. Thank you Aunt Kerry and Uncle Brian for really staying on us to join you guys....we really appreciated it and will defiantly join you again soon! (Perhaps for pizza....I mean for the Saturday night service =)
