Solid Routine

We are: 9 weeks and 5 days!!

We are finally in a solid routine. It feels really good, to know what to expect each day. I know when I can do things, when to make appointments, when not to do things, when Riley needs to be in bed, etc. Our biggest thing was to get into a bedtime routine. That has made the biggest difference. Riley knows that it is bedtime and time to settle down. We start at 7:30...bath, lotion massage, pj's, bottle, swaddle, rock for 5 minutes, bed. By 8pm Joe and I are on the couch catching up on our reality tv!! Our biggest mistake for the first month was to not have a bedtime routine, so we would be going up and down the stairs all evening long. I would totally recommend this to anyone and everyone!! If you think about it, we all have our own bedtime routines (brush teeth, take out contacts, wash face, etc.) So why shouldn't our little ones! Anyways, off to begin my own bedtime routines!! Here is Joe getting Riley ready for bath time......look at that cute little tush!!

Oh man how cute is that photo! Can't wait to see Riley again. She is so cute!!!! I'm glad you have a routine going. Our nights are the best, but during the day we lose her at about 10am. She is cranky here and there from 10am until 8pm. Still hates to take long naps! We have to work on our daytime schedule. Got any advice??
